The Vögele Cultural Centre presents a diverse programme of exhibitions devoted to socially relevant issues with a focus on art and culture and, to a lesser extent, science, philosophy and politics.
The exhibitions showcase culture to a broad public, with topics that cut across a range of disciplines, including art, scenic installations, everyday objects and media contributions. Each themed exhibition is accompanied by a varied series of events, as well as a Vögele Culture Bulletin.
Visitors can delve into greater depth on tours led by professional art mediators: these take place every Sunday at 11.15 a.m. The Vögele Cultural Centre also offers private tours and tours for schools.
The building is itself a sculpture: the striking architecture emerged in the 1970s from the ideas of the New York architectural practice of Copeland, Novak and Israel. A timeless multipurpose edifice featuring exceptionally clear lines, it was subjected to sympathetic renovation in 2010 with the intention of restoring it to its original state.
