The international alpine run from Arth to Rigi Kulm attracts several hundred runners to Mt. Rigi every year.
11.3. 1380. These are the numbers that define the alpine run from Arth to Rigi Kulm. Over a distance of 11.3 kilometres, the runners cover a difference in altitude of no less than 1380 metres, but the spectacular scenery and breathtaking views compensate for their exertions. No-one is too young to be an alpine runner: there is a children's alpine sprint on a shorter route from Rigi Staffel to Rigi Kulm (1.6 km/200 m difference in altitude).
The route goes first along a flat section from Arth to Oberarth before climbing up via Rigi Dächli, Klösterli and Staffel to Rigi Kulm.
